Our Purpose

The objects and purposes of the Association consist of the following objects and purposes:
a) Commemoration: to commemorate the legacy of Gustav and Kate Weindorfer and early pioneers for their pioneering efforts in the stewardship of Tasmania’s natural Environment, their invaluable contributions as field naturalists, and their instrumental role in the establishment of Cradle Mountain National Park;
b) Celebration: To celebrate the beauty and significance of Tasmania’s Natural Environment as natural and cultural treasures.
c) Education: To educate the public about the Weindorfers’ contributions, the importance of Cradle Mountain, and broader environmental conservation efforts.
d) Inspiration: To inspire individuals and communities to contribute to the preservation and betterment of Tasmania’s natural heritage.
e) The promotion of the Association by any means the members approve at a general meeting;
